NEW LIMERICK — Mary B. McNutt 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016. She was born in Houlton on April 24, 1926, the daughter of M. Lloyd and Clarissa (Vaughan) Stantial.
Mary graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1943. She was employed for many years at both JC Penney’s and Lads, Lassies & Ladies in Houlton. Mary cherished her family and friends, her many pets and her home on Drews Lake. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor and a big smile.
Mary is survived by her children Bill and Vonne of North Carolina, Terri Mooers and her husband Perry of Houlton, Michael and his wife Cindi of Drews Lake; four grandchildren Kelli McCarthy Tidd, Cameron and Mike McNutt, Samantha Mooers Wotton; four great- grandchildren Micah McCarthy, Abbey Lowrey, John and Fitz McNutt; eleven nieces and nephews and their families Susan Henning, Linda Stantial, Bill Gray, Tom Beaulieu, Tana, Doug, Ted, Jerry, Joni, Mark and Bret McNutt. Mary was predeceased by her husband Donald R. McNutt, her parents as well as her brothers Thomas and William Stantial, her sisters Effie Gray and Dorothy Beaulieu, her brother-in-law Harold and his wife Phyllis; andher nephew Jim McNutt. A special thank you to Dr. Ted Sussman and the staff of Gardiner Health Care Facility for their wonderful care of Mary during the past 9 years.
