Reusable bag program raises funds
HOULTON — Health Services Foundation, a nonprofit committed to “Excellence in Health Care” to all those they serve, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of June.
This exciting program has been designed to support local nonprofits like the Health Services Foundation. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma messaging purchased at the Ludlow Road Hannaford, the Health Services Foundation will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its “Excellence in Health Care” mission.
“We are really excited to be chosen by Hannaford for their June Project. In caring about our communities health needs Hannaford has provided a special avenue for the Foundation that will get the word out about and gain support for a really great campaign ,” said the Health Services Foundation Executive Director Elizabeth Dulin.
The Health Services Foundation plans to use the projected funds to support Phase II of its current fundraising project to address the needs of Ambulatory Surgery, Cardiac Rehab, Dietary, Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, Operating Room and Physical/Occupational Therapy at Houlton Regional Hospital. Funding for Phase Two will ensure the best possible options are available in proper diagnosis, treatment and education for the health and well being of all those needing hospital services. The entire campaign of $350,000 will benefit 12 hospital departments by replacing aging equipment, necessary up-grades to existing pieces and nursing education.
