HANCOCK — In a continuing effort to reach elder service providers and educate them about the particular needs of LGBT older adults, SAGE Maine will provide a workshop in Presque Isle, a project supported by the Bob Crewe Foundation.

Jackie McNeil, a certified trainer with the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, will offer the training Tuesday, June 21, at the Presque Isle CareerCenter at 66 Spruce St. from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The sessions aim to reach all elder-serving agencies in the state to help make them safe and inclusive for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Mainers.

Space is limited. Contact Jackie@SAGEMaine.org to register.

SAGE Maine has provided training to staff at the Aroostook and Eastern Area Agencies on Aging, the Maine Alzheimers Association, and the Long-term Care Ombudsmen program.
