What a truly amazing weekend for golf! The sun shining and a slight breeze brought people out in droves…has summer finally arrived in northern Maine?
This weekend is our inaugural Northwoods Scramble with Jato Highlands in Lincoln. This two-day, 18-hole tournament consists of two-person teams. The date is Saturday, June 25 at VaJoWa and Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Jato with shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. both days. The cost is $75 per person entry which includes both days of golf with carts and prizes. A $500 cash payout to 1st place Gross and Net teams, as well as additional Gross and Net prizes. (25 team minimum).
The field is limited to the first 60 teams so please call Va Jo Wa to sign up or more information.

Ladies Tuesday scrambles are underway. The ladies meet at 5pm to have a fun 9 hole golf outing. Please feel free to join us.
Our Annual 4th of July Tournament will be held (you guessed it) Monday, July 4th! This is a single player event. Each person gets a flag with their name on it. The player adds 72 (course par) to their full handicap for the number of stokes. The flag is planted where your ball lands after your last stroke. The cost is $10 per person and you can tee off anytime before 4 p.m.
Our free Kids Golf clinics start on Tuesday, July 5. Grades 1-5 will be starting at 9 a.m. Grades 6-12 will be at 9:45 a.m. Phil Faulkner will be teaching course etiquette, rules as well as how to swing the club! Please call to sign up your child. We provide clubs, tees and balls for this free clinic.
