HODGDON — Ronald John Jay, Sr. 73, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He was born January 4, 1943 in Houlton, the son of John and Lenora (Estabrook) Jay.
Ronald attended school in Hodgdon. He was employed by AE Staley for 23 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his mother Lenora; his children Brenda Spooner and her husband Dennis of Hodgdon, Laura Estabrook and her husband Arnold of Amity, Raymond Jay and his wife Tina of Houlton, Ryan Jay and his wife Tara of Cary Plantation; two step-daughters Brenda and Tammy Roach of Portland; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, his son Ronald J. Jay, Jr. and his brother Joseph L. Jay.
Friends called the Dunn Funeral Home 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016. A committal service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Hodgdon Cemetery with Rev. Peter Valji officiating.
