A recent Southern Aroostook Community School graduate, Ramirez Robinson, won first place in the 12th annual Arrive Alive Creative Contest sponsored by the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein. The contest asks students to come up with a creative message about the dangers of drinking and/or distracted driving.

Robinson was chosen as one of five first-place winners and received a new laptop computer for his story depicting the tragic ending distracted driving can bring. Here is a link to his story: http://www.arrivealivecreativecontest.com/uploads/previous-entry-pdfs/Rameirez-Robinson.pdf

“In the 12 years of the contest, we’ve had over 700 graduating seniors enter from 115 high schools and Mr. Robinson’s entry was fresh and unique,” said Nathan Bergeron, a spokesman for the law firm. The Island Falls native was honored among the top 20 winners statewide at an award ceremony on June 21st.

The Arrive Alive Creative Contest is open to graduating high school seniors in Maine who may enter a creative project of their choice. First-place winners receive a new laptop, second- and third-place winners receive new iPads, and every student who enters receives fun prizes from the firm. In the past 12 years, the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein has given away over $110,000 in prizes to educate teenagers on the dangers of driving.

The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is a statewide practice with six offices in Sanford, Biddeford, Portland, Lewiston, Augusta and Bangor, and specializes in personal injury and Social Security disability law.
