HOULTON, Maine — The Strides 2 Strengthen road race, sponsored by the Aroostook Council for Healthy Families, proved to be a success Saturday, June 25, 2016.
“The theme throughout the Strides 2 Strengthen event was strengthening families — spending time together — from the family fun door prizes to the positive parenting messages that were posted along the route,” said Bonnie Dickison, community educator. “I was pleased to see some families attending and participating together.”
Awards were given to the top three male and female finishers. The top three males were: Isaiah Brown, 17:40; Cole Winslow, 21:20; and Josh Beals 22:20. The top three females were: Rylee Warman, 22:12; Olivia Lord, 29:27; and Angela Hannigan 30:14.
