What a wonderful week at the golf course. On Friday night, We hosted the Houlton Alumni Association Social. Many people came from near and far to catch up with friends they haven’t seen in a while. Hor’dourves were furnished by the Lakeside Restaurant and music by Paul LaPointe.
Saturday was the Annual Alumni Scramble. Winners were the mother- son teams of Beth Hunt, Ryan Dee, Jenn Carr, and Alex Donavan. Second, Daniel and Andrew Peabody, and Gabe Goodwin. Third went to Linda and Larry Holmes, Mike Kelley, and Shawn Pullen. Everyone had a great time.
Because of the holiday, our youth clinic will continue next Monday. There is still room for your child, so call the clubhouse to enroll. lasses will go on into August.
Keep the weekend of August 12, 13, and 14, 2016 open. That’s the time for The County Open. Friday night will be a social at VaJoWa golf course. Saturday will be the Open at Houlton Golf course. Sunday will be the Open Scramble back at VaJoWa. We would like to see a full tee sheet for these events as they benefit our local hospital. There is still lots of time to put teams together so tell all your friends. Call the pro shops for more info. See you at the course.
