GENDRON, Paula, 58, Biddeford. Services will be held 1 p.m., July 17 at the United Methodist Church.
BIDDEFORD — Paula Gendron born in Houlton April 25th, 1958, where she lived for most of her life. Paula graduated from Houlton High School in the class of 1976 and graduated from Thomas College, first in her class, where she met her loving husband of 40 years, Marc Gendron and many other life-long friends. Paula was best known for her contagious personality, great sense of humor and kind heart. She loved spending time with her family and many friends.
Paula was able to accomplish a lot in her 58 years of life, building her career as the owner and operator of McLaughlin Textiles in Houlton, Director of the Houlton Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Houlton Regional Hospital Foundation, Home Economics teacher at Mars Hill high school and finished her career at Houlton High School working with special education students in room 110.
Paula passed peacefully in her home with friends and family. She was pre-deceased by her beloved father, N. James Coolong. She is survived by husband Marc Gendron, son Andy Gendron, daughter Emily Gendron and mother Margaret Coolong. Andy and his partner Eden Cross are expecting their first child in Nov, the family’s first grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be hosted at the family’s home in Biddeford, ME from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, July 15.
In addition, a service will be hosted at the United Methodist Church at 57 Military Street in Houlton, ME, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Elks Club in Houlton.
