HOULTON — Douglas Arthur Flewelling, 71, passed away surrounded by his family on July 15, 2016. He was born November 22, 1944 in Houlton, the son of Ivan and Viola (Hanning) Flewelling.
Doug was a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians.
He is survived by his sisters, June Rideout of Nashua, NH, Millie and Ken Hanning, Linda Randall and Sandy Hayes all of Houlton; brothers Gerry and Sue of Grafton NB Canada, Tom and Charlene, Cubby and Jo, Roger and Debbie, John and Debby, all of Houlton; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Sonny, Ricky, Freddy and Charlie and his sister, Sissy Silliboy.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23 at Maliseet Gym. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on September 9th at the Evergreen Cemetery. For an online memory book and to leave condolences please visit www.bowersfuneral.com.
