HOULTON, Maine — Tom Zimmerman, GHCA Head of School, has announced staffing updates to the Little Eagles Preschool and Daycare program this fall.
“We are happy to announce the appointment of Becky Nadeau as the preschool and daycare program coordinator,” said Zimmerman. “While this particular position is new for Becky, she is already a well-known staff member with Little Eagles and our PreK programs. She also ran her own daycare for several years and is active with youth in her church.”
In addition, Nadeau is an active GHCA parent with four children attending elementary through high school grades.
Little Eagles Preschool and Daycare afternoon program will see a new face this fall with Bethany Crone. Crone is a 2009 GHCA graduate.
“As a busy young mother of twins, Bethany has certainly gained her practical experience at home,” Zimmerman said. “In addition, she previously worked at another local daycare provider, as her church’s nursery coordinator and during Vacation Bible School. She is looking forward to providing the same loving care to all the children who will be with her from 11:30-5:30 p.m. each day.”
Also returning this fall are Becky Miller and Cathy Ross. “These ladies are an integral part of our comprehensive program,” explained Zimmerman. “In addition to running her own nursery school many years ago, Becky was very active as a BABES coordinator when that program was available in Aroostook County. As a mom, grandmother and victim/witness advocate at the District Attorney’s office for more than 25 years, she brings much experience, but most importantly love to all the children in her care.”
As a home school parent for over 15 years, Cathy Ross brings a passion for learning to the little ones. In 2015, Ross and her husband transitioned their five youngest children to GHCA where they attend elementary through high school grades. Ross enjoys the lively interaction of that age group and appreciates the opportunity to assist in each one’s growth and development.
Little Eagles Preschool and Daycare provides a biblical curriculum for 2 1/2-3 1/2 year olds. It is open Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is open during school vacations. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend the program.”
Applications are now being accepted for the 2016/2017 school year for both Little Eagles Preschool and GHCA for grades PreK-12. GHCA has provided a Christian education to students from Aroostook County and New Brunswick and overseas students for 32 years.
