SPENCERPORT, NY — Millard A. Fairley, Jr., 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

He was born January 15, 1927 in Brewer, Maine, the son of Millard Sr. and Marjorie (Morrison) Fairley. He attended Houlton schools and was a graduate of the Houlton High School class of 1945. He graduated from the University of Maine, Orono in 1951 with a B.S. degree in Education.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eleanor DB Fairley; children, Millard David (Nancy Ann) Fairley, Ann F. (Tim) Prindle; and grandson, William M. Prindle. Red was an Army Veteran serving as a Military Policeman in Europe during WWII. He was a member of the Spencerport Fireman’s Association for 60 years and a Past Commissioner of the Ogden-Parma Fire District, serving for over 30 years. He was also a Mason (Monument Lodge #96, Houlton) for 67 years and a Shrine (Anah Temple, Bangor) for 40 years. He worked at the Eastman Kodak Company for 24 years, as well as Delco Products Division of General Motors Corporation and the Birds Eye Division of General Foods Corporation.

His burial with Military Honors was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Fairfield Cemetery with his Funeral service following at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Christ, in Spencerport, NY.
