The Purple Hat ladies traveled to the Merrill Millstream Park for their August meeting.
It was a perfect day for a picnic and everyone appreciated the neat, clean park. After the blessing by Wannetta Townsend, they all enjoyed their lunch, followed by cake and ice cream for dessert.
August birthdays were recognized by Cindy Gray and “Happy Birthday” was sung.
As this is the week of the Olympics, members learned some information regarding the Olympic rings and flag.
Winners of the monthly drawing were Betty Wyman and Ramona White.
