HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Police Department responded to the following incidents from Aug. 7-13.

 

Sunday, Aug. 7

1:56 a.m. — Off. York responded to Court Street to investigate a motor vehicle accident.

8:27 a.m. — Off. Bickford responded to Hartford Street to investigate a complaint.

6:20 p.m. — Off. York responded to South Street to investigate a complaint.

9:00 p.m. — Off. York responded to Pleasant Street for a welfare check.

 

Monday, Aug. 8

12:27 a.m. — Off. York responded to Highland Avenue to investigate a disturbance.

8:43 a.m. — Off. Quint responded to Market Sq to investigate a motor vehicle accident.

3:56 p.m. — Off. Quint responded to North Street to investigate suspicious activity.

4:04 p.m. — Off. White responded to North Street to investigate a disturbance.

6:02 p.m. — Off. Smith responded to Grant Street to arrest a 50-year-old Houlton male, Anthony Gonya, for failure to appear in court on a criminal summons.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 9

7:47 a.m. — Off. Quint responded to Green Street for a welfare check.

6:20 p.m. — Off. Smith responded to Spring Street to investigate a reported harassment.

6:22 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to Salem Street to investigate suspicious activity.

6:30 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to South Street to investigate a complaint.

7:47 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to Aurora Circle to investigate reported harassment.

8:04 p.m. — Off. Smith responded to Hillview Avenue to investigate a motor vehicle complaint.

9:19 p.m. — Off. Smith responded to North Street to investigate a motor vehicle complaint.

1:20 p.m. — Off. McGuire responded to Elm Street for a welfare check.

3:24 p.m. — Off. Quint responded to Main Street for an animal complaint.

5:12 p.m. — Off. Quint responded to North Street to investigate a motor vehicle accident.

6:01 p.m. — Sgt. Wampler responded to North Street to investigate a burglar alarm.

7:25 p.m. — Off. Cyr responded to Main Street for an animal complaint.

8:57 p.m. — Off. Cyr responded to Maliseet Drive to investigate a theft/forgery/fraud.

The Houlton Police Department is urging the cooperation of all citizens to take special note not to park in designated areas that are set aside for handicapped persons, unless your vehicle bears a special handicap registration plate or placard issued under Maine Title 29, section 252, or a similar plate issued from another state.

Citizens in violation will be cited for a penalty not less than $50.

Please help us to recognize those people who need a little more help than others by not parking in their parking spaces.
