HODGDON & SACO — Gehrig Ray Quint, 61, passed away peacefully August 10, 2016 at his home in Saco.
Gehrig was born in Houlton, February 17, 1955, the son of Cyril and Evelyn Quint. He grew up in Hodgdon and graduated from Hodgdon High School in 1973. He enjoyed the Red Sox, “the hunting camp” and fishing “in the canoe”. He was so proud of his little girls Emma and Molly.
Gehrig is survived by his son Heath and wife Erin, granddaughters Emma and Molly of Elkins West Virginia, three brothers Pedro (Annette) of Lewiston, Kurt (Claudia) of Lincolnville, Brent of Hodgdon, and two sisters Sharol Putnam (Lanny) of Hodgdon, Melinda Horan (Rob) of Augusta and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Gehrig, a brother Alan, four sisters; Clare, Judy, Sharon and Sally, a nephew Jared and a great-nephew Arthur Gove.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at the Hodgdon Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milestone Foundation, 65 India St., Portland, Maine 04101. Gehrig credited the program at Milestone with changing his life. Gehrig has celebrated 19 years of sobriety.
