On the weight group called The Happy Losers held their meeting. Jackie Pratt, the leader, opened the meeting and welcomed members, followed by the pledge and sometimes dreaded roll call.
Eleven members weighed in and nine attended the meeting. Cecilia Brown was the loser of the week, and Shirley Sides was the runner-up. Great job, ladies.
Reports were given by the secretary and treasurer for the week .
The leader led the program for the week. Her topic was a quiz with six questions with interesting answers.
All are welcome to come to meetings every Wednesday at the United Baptist Church vestry in Island Falls, with weigh-ins from 8-8:30 a.m. The meeting usually starts at 8:30.
The contest, running from June 29-Aug. 31, will end this week, and also the July and August tally for the person who lost the most weight in those two months.
