Eber Currier, 85 of Merrimack, NH died Aug. 6, 2016 at his home peacefully in his sleep.

He was born in Littleton, ME on Dec. 29, 1930, a son of the late Dwight and Berniece (Wilson) Currier.

Before moving to Merrimack, he was previously from Burlington, MA, Houlton, ME and Littleton, ME. He had earned an accounting degree from Bentley University and continued to a bachelors degree in Business Management from Northeastern.

Eber owned and operated Currier Orchards with his wife in Merrimack, and Currier Self Storage in Milford, NH both for 32 years. He was previously the partner of Demers Vega International Harvester Truck Sales and Service Centers in Nashua and Amherst.

Eber was the founder of the Merrimack Agricultural Commission and member for 8 years. He was also a 25 year member of the Merrimack Conservation Commission.

Members of his family include his wife of 67 years, Trudy (Michaud) Currier of Merrimack; five sons, Jeff and his wife Bea; Barry and his wife Elizabeth; Tom and his wife Sherry; Ron; and Rand and his wife Paula; eight grandchildren, Cliff, Joy, Caleb, David Currier, Danielle Austen, Hailey Martini, Sam Nordstrom, and Joseph Divico; four great-grandchildren, Tiana Austen, Braiden, Chaise, and Lucas Currier; a sister Eda Stockson, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held in the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH; Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 from 4-8 p.m.. Funeral service were in the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m.. Burial was private and at the convenience of the family.
