ORIENT and LADY LAKE, FL —Janet I. Desmarais, 74, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2016, in Houlton. She was born in Oil City, PA, on July 6, 1942, the devoted daughter of the late William E. and Margaret J. Miller and her step-mother, Jewell Miller.
She was an avid reader and loved to do any kind of arts and crafts. She was a puzzle fanatic and you could always find her working on one. She loved golf and was very prouid of her two Hole-In-One trophies. She loved being at camp planting her flowers and feeding the ducks or riding around the Villages with Norby in their golf cart. She loved to spend time with Norby at any casino, sometimes sharing her winnings with him. Jan enjoyed visiting her large family in PA very much. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Norbert JP Desmarais; loving mother of: Timothy S. and Patricia Ellis of CT, Michael Lawrence of TX, Kendra Lawrence and her fiancé, Richard Sheehan of MA, Scott and Nicole Desmarais of ME, Jonathan and Jennifer Desmarais of TN and Leona and Ian McNeil of NH; cherished sister of James R. and Marilyn Miller of PA, William K. and Linda Miller of PA, John K. and Beverly Miller of PA, Jane and Don Head of SC and the late Robert E. Miller of PA; cherished grandmother of TJ, Devin, Laurel, Alexandria, Catherine, Peyton, Angelique, Emma and Madelyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
