The Houlton Police Dept. is urging the cooperation of all citizens to take special note not to park in designated areas that are set aside for handicapped persons, unless your vehicle bears a special handicap registration plate or placard issued under Maine Title 29, section 252, or a similar plate issued from another state.
Citizens in violation will be cited for a penalty not less than $50. Please help us to recognize those people that need a little more help than others, by not parking in their parking spaces.
