HOULTON, Maine — Boys or girls in grades 3 or 5 who are interested in playing travel basketball as part of the Aroostook Youth Basketball League are asked to contact league officials by Nov. 18. Parents or guardians should email league representatives with their child’s name, school they attend, grade, and physical address to houltonaybl@gmail.com.
Depending on the number of boys and girls who sign up and coaches who volunteer, tryouts may be necessary. The season runs from Nov. 19 until March 18.
Aroostook Youth Basketball League (AYBL) is an organization committed to providing competitive basketball opportunities for youth in grades 3-8, serving as a feeder program for high school basketball teams. Youth will have an opportunity to be on a team that plays a 10-14 game schedule, with games at home and away in towns like Presque Isle, Caribou, Madawaska, and Fort Kent.
