HOULTON, Maine — Houlton High School presents “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” opening this Friday at the Houlton Community Arts Center at Houlton High School.
Originally set as a musical in 1967, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” transforms the classic Peanuts characters into live-action characters with larger-than-life personalities.
Performances are Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday (November 20) at 2 p.m.; and a special children’s 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday. That matinee show will feature free activities and treats for children under 10 starting at noon.
Ticket prices: $10 adults, $8 students/senior citizens; Saturday children’s matinee prices are: children under 10 free, and everyone else is $5 (for that one show only.)
The production features John Thatcher, Victoria Holmes, Dylan Johnston, Kyliegh Tyler, Tessa Solomon, Kelsey Sewell, John Smith, Theresa Ouellette, Sierra Rhoda, Keaton Michael and Mia Findlater.
Technical crew includes Owen Gallop, Brooke Howland, Carolyn Hannigan, Isaac Vega, Keegan Gentle, Kaelin Pratt, Kallie Prosser, Matthew Bouchard and Jeremy Cook. Also featured in the pit band is Hope Chernesky.
The show, in two acts, runs approximately two hours; there will be one 15-minute intermission. For more information, call the high school at 532-6551.
