Townsquare Media and WHOU 100.1 FM, as well as an online service based in Easton, are broadcasting high school basketball games this winter on the airwaves and over the internet.
The station 101.9 FM The Rock will air 30 games after taking last year off. Broadcast veteran Bill Casavant returns to the airwaves to handle the play-by-play, while Ryan Guerrette, Jeff Clockedile and Dillon Kingsbury are also part of the broadcast team.

Wednesday, Dec. 14 — Houlton at Presque Isle boys, 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 16 — Fort Kent at Fort Fairfield boys, 7 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 19 — Easton at Washburn boys, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 21 — Houlton at Caribou boys, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 28 — Washburn at Central Aroostook girls, 7 p.m.
“We will be airing tournament coverage of all Aroostook County teams,” said Guerrette, the station manager. “It will be a mix of our local staff and our sister station 92.9 FM The Ticket in Bangor’s staff.”

Games provided by WHOU 100.1 FM will be broadcast with video on the radio station’s website, www.whoufm.com, with north and south streams available to allow two games to be shown on the same night. The station plans to stream video for over 80 games this winter, with approximately half of those also coming over the radio.
Ken Holck returns for his 19th season calling basketball games, with Rob Moran providing color for most of the contests on radio and the south stream. Among those representing the north stream are play-by-play announcers Steve Carmichael and Kevin Sjoberg and color commentators Bobby Russell and Bill Guerrette.
The station will also cover games at the tournament this coming February involving teams from central and southern Aroostook County.
