HOULTON, ME — A number of students from the area were recognized on the fall semester dean’s lists at their respective colleges. They include the following.
Wheaton College
Rebekah Holmes of Houlton was named to the dean’s list at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill.
To earn the recognition at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.
Wheaton College is a coeducational Christian liberal arts college noted for its rigorous academics, integration of faith and learning, and consistent ranking among the top liberal arts colleges in the country.
University of New Haven
Mallory A. Clayton was recognized at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn. Clayton is studying for her bachelor of arts in psychology at the College of Arts and Sciences, and also for her bachelor of science in criminal justice at Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensics.
Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.50 or better in any one semester will be appointed to the dean’s list for that semester.
Founded at Yale University in 1920, the University of New Haven is a private, top-tier educational institution which enrolls nearly 5,000 undergraduates and about 1,900 graduate students.
Thomas College
At Thomas College in Waterville, dean’s list honors went to Dana Brown, Nicholas Hagan and Danielle Provost, all of Houlton, and to Matthew Tarr of Oakfield.
Thomas College, founded in 1894, is a private, liberal arts and business college offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in business, arts and sciences, criminal justice, education and technology.
