Daryl and Heidi Abbotoni, franchise owners of the Houlton McDonald’s, present a check in the amount of $1,000 to Lori Weston to be used for the development of a senior center to be located in the former Putnam house across the Houlton McDonald’s on the North Road.

The new McDonald’s in Houlton, which features the modern cafe style restaurant, opened for business Dec. 28. The building replaced the original structure built in the 1970s.
