Limestone Community School Principal Ryan Enman has announced Robert Amuzzini III, a senior at Limestone Community School has been selected to receive the 2008 Principal’s Award. This award is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association and is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship. “Robert has been an outstanding student and citizen since his first day of kindergarten at Limestone Community School. In high school he has been a member of the Student Council, the National Honor Society and has served as a science lab assistant. Robert is very worthy of this recognition,” said Enman.
Amuzzini and Enman, along with other award winners and their principals, attended an Honors Luncheon held at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor, April 5.
Plaques were presented to each student and five $1,000 scholarships were awarded. The scholarships were given in the names of Horace O. McGowan and Richard W. Tyler, both former Maine principals and executive directors of the association.
