Summer program registration
Program registration for residents begins today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Non-resident registration is on June 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Summer program starting dates
Caribou Parks and Recreation summer programs will begin the week of June 23. CRX will begin on the Monday, and baseball, softball, tennis and arts and crafts get underway on Wednesday. The Community Pool will open on Monday, June 30.
CRX program changes
Due to the loss of grant funding, the CRX program will be limited to Caribou residents for a fee. Non-residents will be allowed to register on a waiting list.
Summer programs offered
Below is a summary of the summer programs. Details are available in the program booklet.
Arts and crafts is on offer to youths aged 5 to 16. Tennis is on offer for youths aged 6 to 18. Baseball and softball are on offer for youths aged 5 to 16. Swimming lessons are on offer for youths aged 6 to 18. Parent/tot swimming lessons are on offer for children aged 3 to 5. Soccer is on offer for children in grades three to six.
CRX is on offer for children entering grades six to nine. Activities include outdoor essentials, canoeing, kayaking, log/drive chasing, swamp trompin’, Wild Outdoor Women (WOW), mountain biking, wild Katahdin adventure I and wild Katahdin adventure II.
