The Woodland Extension met recently for a meeting, which was held over lunch at Bonanza in Presque Isle. The meeting, conducted by Co-president, Theresa Andrews, included a report from the secretary, correspondence readings and the collection of cash funds. The most recent addition to the group, Sandra Pickens, also informed everyone that she would be moving back to California at the end of July.     The group also discussed their exhibit for the upcoming Northern Maine Fair in Presque Isle, focusing on the actual entry, as well as how many hours each member would work on the exhibit.
Members also enjoyed an extensive tour of the Northeast Publishing Company plant in Presque Isle. All present agreed that it takes many people, lots of work, knowledge and machinery to produce the weekly newspapers, as well as the other publishing done by the company.
Members present for the meeting included Elizabeth Cochran, Theresa Andrews,; Dodie Olmstead, Elizabeth Beaulieu; Mavis Carson, Norma Bondeson and Sandra Pickens.
