Caribou firefighter, Scott Jackson opens the door of Ladder Truck 3, so his passengers, Susan Lewis, a grade-four student and Brooke DeMerchant, a third-grader could alight from their very special ride to school Tuesday morning. The two young ladies were picked up at their homes by Jackson and delivered to Teague Park Elementary School, just in time for the morning bell. The two students earned this envious mode of transportation by creating the winning poster entries in the annual Learn Not to Burn Program, of which Jackson is coordinator.
