Sometimes its fun to have a picnic inside. That just what these young library goers did on a recent Saturday morning as Jean Shaw, childrens librarian at the Caribou Public Library hosted a ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic.’
The group sang, danced, brought along their favorite bear (or cat or doll, etc.) and of course an adult, and listened to the story of the Teddy Bears Picnic, by Jimmy Kennedy. Following the activities, the 18-36 month-olds enjoyed their own picnic, always a highlight of the children’s programs. Participating in the annual picnic program were: Nicholas Anderson, Abraham Bouchard, Shepard Hitchcock; Caitlyn Jackson, Ellie Martin, Kayla Mathie and Griffen McNeal. Also present were Benjamin Pelletier, Allie Johnson-Ray, Ashlynn Rose, Edison Sleeper; Ian Russell, Alex Thibodeau, Chantele Thibodeau and Emma Christie.

“These chairs are pretty comfortable, huh Grampy?” Griffen McNeal and his grandfather, Lynn McNeal recently attended the Teddy Bears Picnic program hosted by the Caribou Public Library and Jean Shaw, children’s librarian.
