Santa Fe, NM-Aroostook County native Representative Nathan Cote, PhD, was re-elected for his second term in the House of Representatives of the State of New Mexico Legislature. Representative Cote serves the people of Las Cruces, Dona Ana and Otero Counties in District 53 of southern New Mexico.
Said Representative Cote, “ I have worked hard to serve the needs of my constituents. I am honored to be re-elected and have the opportunity to continue to be a strong voice for all New Mexican families during my next term.”
“During his first term, Representative Cote worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those he represents,” said New Mexico House of Representatives Majority Leader Ken Martinez. “For example, he addressed the needs of our veterans and our military members and their families. He created jobs through economic development initiatives. He provided funding for roads, flood control and law enforcement in his district. I applaud Representative Cote’s valuable service and look forward to serving with him again in the 2009 Legislative Session.”
