FALMOUTH, Maine —The Maine Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society announces sponsorship opportunities for walk MS 2009, to be held April 25th at 10 sites throughout Maine. Sponsors for the event will be exposed 4,000 participants and volunteers, as well as receive placement in the event’s promotional materials.
“Sponsors of walk MS are seen, recognized and celebrated for their partnership and commitment to achieving a world free of multiple sclerosis,” says Michelle Zichella, director of special events of the Maine Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. “Not only do sponsors help increase their company’s reach, but they help support the more that 3,000 people in Maine with MS.”
2009 marks the 20th anniversary of Walk MS. In April, thousands of Mainers will once again walk to bring the dream of conquering MS closer to reality. The money raised from walk MS will fund continuing research to discover the cause and cure for multiple sclerosis. Equally important, it will help pay for a multitude of support services, right here in Maine, critical to those whose lives have been touched by MS.
Join 4,000 walkers and volunteers for a fun and friendly community oriented walk. Winding through Maine communities, the 3-5 mile walks are a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a festive finish line celebration filled with food, drinks and great entertainment.
Sponsors for the event have the opportunity to receive media exposure, brand exposure and on-site benefits, as well as recognition on the National MS Society web site, newsletter and print collateral. Available sponsorships range from $1,000 Rest Stop Sponsors to a $12,000 Exclusive Presenting Sponsor.
2009 Walk MS site locations include: Augusta, Lewiston, Bangor/Brewer, Brunswick, Camden, Caribou , Ellsworth, Greater Portland, York County and Waterville.
