UMFK receives Longevity Award from Ft.Kent Chamber

    University of Maine at Fort Kent President, Dr. Richard W. Cost, right, recently accepted the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Longevity Award” from Don Guimond, a Chamber director and Fort Kent Town Manager, at the Chamber’s 61st annual dinner meeting.  The “Longevity aAward” is awarded each year at the Chamber’s annual dinner to the business or organization with the longest record of continuous service to the community.  UMFK was established as the Madawaska Training School in February of 1878.
