Televised races

To the editor:
    Before the next Northern Maine Fair, it would be nice if the fair officials would find a sponsor to televise the horse races, possibly on the local Time Warner station. The high school basketball games are also televised on that channel.     Many folks in the county are unable to get to the fair, but would very much like to see the races. The father of a lady who lives in the same apartment building as mine used to bring race horses to the fair, but is now recovering from a broken leg and can’t attend the fair. I believe that televising the race would create much interest in the fair and be a great benefit to the folks who cannot attend.
