Special donation
The Central Aroostook Jr/Sr High School Library of SAD 42 has received a $500 donation from Machining Innovations, Inc. of Oakland. Co-owners of Machining Innovations, Jeremy York and Curtis Fisher, are giving back to their communities after experiencing a successful year of business in 2008.
The gift is most appreciated, especially at this time when school budgets have been frozen. The gift will make a big difference for students as it will allow purchases of new books on the library’s “wish list.” Jeremy York is the son of SAD 42’s District Library/Media Specialist Betsy York and John York.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m., Nandan Joshie from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will be speaking at the library regarding the digital television conversion. All are welcome to attend this event.
