PRESQUE ISLE – The Preceptor Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held its monthly meeting at the home of Ruth James with Jane James serving as hostess and Miriam Gregg as co-hostess Dec. 11. Sue Czosnek reported on the successful raffle; ticket sales raised over $400. Bernice Belanger was thanked for donating the cross stitch Santa. Czosnek sold the most tickets and received the pantry basket generously donated by Lynn Walton. Dave Czosnek drew the winning ticket Dec. 1. Miriam Gregg was the lucky, appreciative winner of the Santa.
In other business, members voted to donate $300 to the Sister Mary O’Donnell Homeless Shelter to help with the shelter’s Christmas preparations.
After the business meeting, sisters enjoyed refreshments and a Yankee swap to celebrate the Christmas season.
