Presque Isle – Roland C.E. Michaud, 78, died January 14, 2009, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born September 14, 1930, in St. Rose, Quebec, Canada, the son of Pierre and Emelia (St. Onge) Michaud.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle. Roland had been employed in the farming industry all his life and he enjoyed playing checkers and cribbage, cross stitching, and attending Presque Isle senior citizen events.
Surviving him is his wife of 53 1/2 years, Delores (Paradis) Michaud; brothers, Joseph of St. Rose, Que., Lucien of Fort Kent, George of St. Rose, Que., Gerard of Seabring, FL and Hilarie of Sept Iles, Que.; sisters, Irene Lagrieux of Sebring, FL, Lorraine Theriault of Fort Kent, Laurette Baron of New Britton, CT, Pierrette Landry of St. Rose, Que. and Rolande Grieenier of Quebec; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends called at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Main St., Presque Isle with Rev Raymond Morency celebrant.
