Actions of emergency responders saved a life

To the editor:
On August 8th my son fell and injured his head. The injury was quite serious and required immediate surgery at Eastern Maine Medical Center.     My family and I appreciate the skill and capabilities of the members of the Caribou Fire and Ambulance Dept. (both ground and air transport), the Cary Medical Center ER team that assessed and treated our son that night, and the flight nurse who accompanied him to Bangor. The quick and decisive action of all of these individuals working as a coordinated team saved his life.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to citizens Pamela Hall and Danielle Bonnie, who found our son, called the ambulance, and took his keys so he would not drive home. Your actions started the process that saved his life.
We — Vincent and my family — thank you all.
