CARIBOU — Sometimes the moms out danced the kids and sometimes the kids out danced the moms, but either way couples were dancing ‘till they dropped at the Mother/Son Dance at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center on May 7.
Approximately 166 people attended the dance to boogie down, win raffle prizes and enjoy cake and punch.
Music Express played popular dance songs like “The Cha-cha slide” by DJ Casper and the “Chicken Dance” by Werner Thomas, as well as some classics and contemporary songs that the dancers seemed to enjoy.
In a multitude of raffles, approximately ten boys won a variety of toys and games.
The next big events offered through the recreation center will be National Trail Day on June 5 and the annual Trek Across Caribou on June 6.
