In front are Arlene Monteith, the granddaughter of museum founder Olaf Nylander and Nylander’s great-great-great grandson Keith Hobbs III, of Massachusetts. In back, standing next to the wax effigy of Olaf Nylander, are Keith Hobbs Jr., the great-grandson of Nylander and Blanche Hobbs, the great-granddaughter of the museum namesake. In the photo Keith is holding up a picture that appeared in the Aroostook Republican 30 years ago when his father was 10 years old and visited the museum with his great- grandmother Eldena Ketch, Olaf’s daughter. While in Maine the Hobbs visited the activities during MidSomar, the Block House in Fort Kent and enjoyed a picnic at the home of Gloria and Victor Winslow of Mapleton. The Hobbs also were overnight guests of Lynwood and Florence Monteith of Presque Isle and Arlene Monteith of Woodland.
