LIMESTONE

Youth soccer

The travel soccer team for grades 4-6 will hold practices Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. The travel team will compete in Saturday round-robin tournaments throughout the fall.

Pee wee and mini soccer for grades K-4 is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. Games will be played on Friday evenings. Van Buren and Caswell residents are also encouraged to join in. Call 325-4791 or 551-1204 to register.

Swimming

Free to Limestone residents, adult swim is offered at the Limestone Community School pool Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Another session is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. with a fee of $2 charged to cover the lifeguard fee.

Community swim is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. The fee is $2 per person or $5 for a family of five.

Line dancing

Line dancing takes place Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the LCS cafeteria. Linda Butler is the instructor.

Fitness center hours

The fitness center is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-8:30 p.m. The fee is $2 per session.

Fitness conditioning

Fitness conditioning classes with Eva Churchill are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the LCS gymnasium.

Co-ed basketball

Open gym is offered at the LCS gymnasium Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Players must have a team to participate.

Volleyball

Recreation and competitive volleyball is held Sundays from 6-9 p.m. at the LCS gymnasium.

CARIBOU

New walking hours

Walking hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Grades 3-4 soccer schedule

Sept. 15: 6 p.m., Galaxy vs. Revolution; Sept. 20: 6 p.m., Fire vs. Revolution; 7 p.m., Metrostars .vs. Rapids.Games are played at Teague Park.

Grades 5-6 soccer schedule

Sept. 15: 6 p.m., Arsenal vs. Manchester United; 7 p.m., Chelsea vs. Liverpool; Sept. 20: 6 p.m., Arsenal vs. Liverpool; 7 p.m., Chelsea vs. Manchester United.    Games are played at Sincock Field.

Men’s basketball organizational meeting

An organizational meeting for the men’s basketball league at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. League dues and rules will be discussed. Anyone interested in entering a team to the league or joining a team must be present at the meeting. The league begins Oct. 13 and meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m.

Volunteers sought for Halloween Party

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Halloween Party slated for Sunday, Oct. 31. Parks and recreation officials are seeking individuals, businesses or organizations that would be interested in providing a game or activity during the two-hour event. Inquires should be made at the recreation office at 493-4224.

Game room open

The game room is open and hours are 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

High impact aerobics

High impact aerobics are offered on Monday and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8-9 a.m. Classes are $5 each payable to the instructor.

Zumba offered

Zumba is offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. Classes are $8 per class.

Power of Prevention exercise classes

The Power of Prevention exercise classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. There is no fee for this program.

Cary exercise classes

Cary exercise classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The fee is $1 per class.
