Have you ever had the desire to train others in performing life-saving skills? The Aroostook County Branch of the American Red Cross-Pine Tree Chapter is offering a three-day Red Cross Instructor Training Class on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-20, at the Academy House on the campus of The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.
As an American Red Cross instructor, individuals promote the qualities of the Red Cross while serving as a role model, teaching others to become certified in CPR, first aid, and various other health and safety trainings. Instructors will be trained in a manner that helps participants stay engaged in the learning process while providing corrective feedback and encouragement consistent with the critical skill performance steps. This training also provides a chance for individuals to earn a supplemental income.
Participants will need to have a current certificate in CPR and first aid either from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Nov, 15. Registration is limited to 10 participants.
For more information or to register, call Penny Kern at 493-4620, ext. 109 or e-mail at kernp@pinetree.redcross.org. Registration is limited to 10 participants.
