LIMESTONE — With the start of a new  year, deadlines are quickly approaching for tax liens and dog registrations in the town of Limestone.

Notice of Impending Automatic Foreclosure notices will be sent out on Friday, Jan. 14 to all 2008/09 tax lien holders. To avoid extra certified mailing fees, taxes should be paid by Jan. 14. If not paid, the liens will expire on Friday, Feb. 25. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Tax Collector at 325-4704 ext. 4.

Just a reminder for the residents of Limestone that all dogs housed in the town must be registered by the end of this month. Please bring in the Maine Certificate of Rabies Vaccination and a written certificate from the veterinarian stating that the dog(s) is incapable of producing young because of spaying or neutering. A late fee will be assessed on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

The Limestone Town Office, Limestone Recreation Department ad the Robert Frost Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Board of Selectpeople will have their regular meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 5 and 19 at the Limestone Municipal Building at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
