PRESQUE ISLE – February is National Heart Month, so Northern Zumba is partnering with Cary Medical Center and The Aroostook Medical Center to hold a fundraiser to help purchase new equipment for women’s heart health.
Cary Medical Center is using the funds raised to purchase a new automated blood pressure machine for their public blood pressure clinics, while TAMC is purchasing cholesterol screening machines and screening materials to offer free cholesterol screenings in some communities.
Northern Zumba is inviting mothers to bring their daughters, aunts to bring their nieces, sisters to bring their sister and grandmothers to bring their granddaughters to the event “Shake What Your Mama Gave Ya.” The event is taking place at the Presque Isle Recreation Center on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 2-3:30 p.m.
Come enjoy a dance party, healthy snacks, laughter and an incredible cardio workout to help raise money for a great cause.
A $10 donation will be collected at the door.
