CASWELL — Here’s the scenario, as it’s played out time and time again — it’s Sunday evening and after a weekend of cleaning house, you find yourself with a sticky trash bag filled with returnable bottles that’s left lingering in your front hallway because most redemption centers are closed. While options used to be either stow the sticky bag in a closet or garage or put it in the trunk of your car and hope not to forget about it, there’s a new option in town. Since opening in November, Borderline Redemption Center has given customers the opportunity to take those redeemables to the redemption center right away, because Borderline Redemption Center in Caswell is open on the weekends.
“We’re also open for an extra hour at night so that people who are coming home after work still have time to redeem their bottles,” said Borderline Redemption Center owner Brian LaBreck.
Located at 2033 Van Buren Road in Caswell, the redemption center is open Wednesday to Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Aside from the convenient hours, customers from Van Buren, Limestone — even across the border in New Brunswick — keep coming back to Borderline because of the convenient location and the personable customer service. Even Legislative Representative Bernard Ayotte expressed his excitement in seeing the new business come to Caswell, mentioning how the redemption center is convenient for both community members and other Caswell businesses. He also spoke highly of LaBreck.
