The Caribou Public Library was the scene of a mystical Mad Hatter Tea Party, hosted by Jean Shaw, children’s librarian and other library staff members, assisted by area Girl Scout volunteers.

Guest of honor at the afternoon tea was none other than — the Mad Hatter himself — straight from the  children’s classic book,  “Alice in  Wonderland.”

The young ladies enjoyed tea and delicacies while socializing with friends old and new, as well as sharing the special time with their favorite dolls who were also invited to the tea party.

FS-Madhatter-CLR-dc2-AR-10Young ladies of all ages accepted the invitation to the Mad Hatter Tea Party, enjoying a calming cup of tea during an afternoon filled with socializing and music.

Special entertainment included singing “Happy Birthday,” to a number of the young guests and then singing, the “Un-birthday,” song honoring everyone else who attended the Feb. 23 event.
