The five steps of Rachel’s Challenge are simple. The first one is to look for the best in others. Rachel wants people to look for the best in others. The main goal of this challenge is eliminate prejudice! The second step is Dare to Dream. The main goals of this challenge is to set goals and to keep a journal. The third challenge is to choose positive influences. The shooters at the Columbine tragedy didn’t do this. Their role model was Adolf Hitler – leader of the Holocaust, and they did the shooting on his birthday, and the goal of this challenge is that input determines output. The next is to use Kind Words and Actions and get Huge Results. The last challenge is to start a chain reaction with family and friends. The goal of this challenge is to spread the word about Rachel’s Challenge and to make the world a better place.

Rachel’s Challenge is a challenge to be kind and start a chain reaction of kindness. Rachel’s Challenge was created by Rachel Scott, the first person killed in the Columbine tragedy and was discovered by Darrell Scott, Rachel’s father and the word was spread with the help of family and friends. I accepted Rachel’s challenge because it’s a simple and nice thing to do and Rachel’s story touched my heart and I wasn’t everybody to accept Rachel’s challenge!

With Rachel’s challenge, I can make a difference from making someone’s day by saying hello to saving a life by having a conversation with them. I can become a better person and prove to the world that I am kind and helpful.

Everyone can do this. I think during the summer I will get some of my friends and ask them to volunteer at Homeless and Rescue shelters. It would be fun and help us realize how good we have things in our lives.

So, pretty much I told you about Rachel Scott, about Rachel’s Challenge, about what I can do since I accepted Rachel’s Challenge. And how Rachel Scott is one of my heroes. Well, that’s my report.
