Cancer walk opened her eyes

To the editor:
On Valentine’s Day I took part in Planet Head, a cancer awareness fundraiser sponsored by U Maine PI and C-A-N-C-E-R (Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer Education & Recovery) and had my head shaved.
Since then so many concerned people have approached me and after being assured about my health have said, “You’re so brave!” Not really, I think those people dealing with that miserable disease, having the awful treatments and enduring the lousy side effects, they’re the brave ones. Me?? I just have a really short haircut.
