Nearly 100 people turned out the evening of Dec. 14 to attend a Christmas Remembrance Service at Mockler Funeral Home in Caribou. The program, “A Christmas to Remember,” provided a chance for families that have lost loved ones to remember them in a special way at Christmas.

Organizer Jim Mockler stated, “this program was something that the funeral home staff have wanted to do for some time and the families who attended really appreciated the opportunity to gather and remember during this holiday time.”

The Rev. David Goupille officiated at the service and delivered an inspirational message “Coming in from the Cold.” Special music was provided by Karen Wakem and John Worsley and following the service those attending enjoyed conversation and homemade Christmas desserts.

Jesse Faye, who helped coordinate the service said, “we have received such a positive response from those who attended and also from many others who were unable to be there that evening, that plans are already in the works for a 2012 program.”
