There is only one more week of play in the schoolboy baseball regular season. The last day for countable games is Wednesday, May 30 and the prelims get under way on June 5.

Here’s a recap of games played through Monday:
Washburn 20, Van Buren 13 — At Van Buren Monday, Washburn used 16 free passes and 11 errors to go along with their six hits to get the victory.
The Beavers were led by Anthony Viola’s two singles and an RBI and a double and two RBI from Jordan McLaughlin. Washburn is now 4-6-1.
LCS/MSSM 18, GHCA 8 — At Limestone Monday, Nate Tucker had four hits and five RBI, while Tristan Kirk also added four hits of his own with two RBI to lead Limestone to the win. Bret Butler contributed three hits of his own and an RBI for the 9-4 Eagles.
For GHCA, Ethan Holmes had three hits and two RBI, while Jake Long and Aaron Holmes each collected an RBI single.
Foxcroft 4, Caribou 1 — The Caribou Vikings dropped both games in a home doubleheader on Saturday.
In the first game, Foxcroft’s Hunter Law doubled and singled and Ryan Rebar singled twice and drove in a run to complement the pitching of Jesse Provost.
Nick Whitehead had two singles for Caribou and Matt Milliard doubled. Matt Curry pitched a complete game.
Foxcroft 14, Caribou 7 — In the second game, Matt Cameron and Rebar had two singles each and Foxcroft Academy scored eight runs in the third inning en route to the victory.
Cameron Fadley doubled for the winners and Cody Coiley had a single and two RBI. Kaleb Smith went six innings for the win.
Dean Walker had three singles for Caribou. Matt Frost had two singles and an RBI and Chad Caverhill doubled.
LCS/MSSM 18, Van Buren 6 — At Van Buren Friday, Kirk collected three singles and a double with one RBI as the Eagles routed the Crusaders.
Kirk also got the win, striking out seven. Chris Bernier, Bret Butler and Brandon Thompson also had three hits apiece for Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.
Washburn 17, Fort Kent 5 — At Fort Kent Friday, McLaughlin’s grand slam topped a 14-run third inning as the Beavers downed the Warriors in five innings in the opener of a doubleheader.
McLaughlin also posted two RBI singles.
Fort Kent 10, Washburn 6 — In the second game, Charlie Nadeau struck out 10 for Fort Kent, and Brandon Hartt had two singles and a double with four RBIs.
Nick Bragg, Cameron Bragg and McLaughlin all had RBI singles for Washburn.
Fort Fairfield 18, Van Buren 12 — At Fort Fairfield Thursday, Ryan Peel recorded a double and two singles to help the Tigers beat the Crusaders.
Austin Bernier chipped in with two doubles and Andrew Tuck added two singles for the winners.
Central Aroostook 18, Washburn 8 — At Mars Hill Wednesday, Jacob Canney hit a grand slam in the third inning to lead the Panthers.
Dan Brewer also homered, doubled and singled for Central Aroostook, while Derek Rusby and Darrin Murray each had three singles.
For Washburn, McLaughlin hit a three-run home run and doubled.
Fort Fairfield 18, LCS/MSSM 10 — At Fort Fairfield Wednesday, Tyler Churchill had three singles and a double, while Nate Guimond added two doubles to propel Fort Fairfield to victory.
Landon Towle threw five innings for the Tigers, who improve to 4-4.
With the loss, Limestone drops to 7-4. Kirk had a double and two singles for the Eagles.
Presque Isle 3, Caribou 2 — The Presque Isle Wildcats squeaked out a one-run home win over the Caribou Vikings on May 15.
Jacob Player pitched the first three innings and Wilder York finished the last four as they combined to hold the Vikings to two runs.
Player, Tyler Seeley, Evan Waddell and Jonah Stephenson each singled for the Wildcats, who scored three unearned runs in the second inning.
Carter Chabot doubled and singled to lead Caribou and Milliard added a double.
Caribou pitcher Curry didn’t allow any earned runs.
LCS/MSSM 9, Wisdom 5 — At Limestone May 15, Kirk had three singles and scored three runs as the Eagles topped the Pioneers of St. Agatha.
Winning pitcher Chris Bernier struck out 11 and helped his own cause by hitting a single and double with three RBIs, and Tyler Morgan doubled and had three RBIs.
