On Saturday, several Maine Circle K stores and Irving dealer locations in Aroostook County will be teaming up with members of Maine Law Enforcement and Special Olympics Maine athletes to raise money for and an awareness of Special Olympics Maine.
Participants will be pumping gas and washing windshields in hopes of getting “tips” for the athletes. Special Olympic athletes will also be at several locations with donation buckets, meeting customers and showing off their medals.
In addition to the event on Saturday, more than 100 Circle K stores and several Irving Dealers are currently selling static clings for $1 each throughout the remainder of the month and all proceeds are going to Special Olympics. Anyone who has already purchased a cling is encouraged to donate their change to the program.
The Fueling Dreams campaign with Irving and Circle K has been taking place for fourteen years now and has become one of the largest fundraising events for Special Olympics Maine. The event began in NH and spread to Maine and soon became a New England wide event. On Saturday July 28th Law Enforcement officers will be pumping gas through- out New England for their state Special Olympics program. Special Olympics Maine is thrilled and grateful to be able to continue their relationship with two generous companies who have supported our athletes in so many ways.
